Danville, KY – Boyle County Judge Executive Trille L. Bottom has announced a public information session to discuss the Planning and Zoning Comprehensive Plan. The session will take place on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Inter-County Energy’s public meeting room, located at 1009 Hustonville Road, Danville.
“Planning and Zoning has adopted their Comprehensive Plan after a year of public meetings and input throughout Boyle County,” said Judge Executive Trille L. Bottom. “The plan presents some different updated planning concepts for land development and discusses the intent of growth for the county over the next 40 years. This meeting will present an opportunity for the public to learn about the plan and why the Planning and Zoning Commission included portions of it.”
The Danville-Boyle County Comprehensive Plan 2025 has been available for public review online since August 29, 2025, with public comments accepted through September 17, 2025—one week prior to the Planning & Zoning Commission’s official adoption of the plan.
The Comprehensive Plan serves as a guide for growth and development throughout Boyle County. It establishes goals, objectives, and implementation strategies to ensure Boyle County continues to be a great place to live, work, and invest. The plan is designed to guide both public and private development decisions to ensure that proposed projects are appropriate for their surroundings and supported by necessary infrastructure.
“While the Comprehensive Plan is a guiding document—not a regulation—it plays a vital role in shaping zoning decisions and the future direction of development within the county,” explains Judge Bottom.
